Criminal Investigator (Special Agent) - HAMMER Join to apply for the Criminal Investigator (Special Agent) - HAMMER role at U.S. Department of Homeland Security . Job Overview This position involves rigorous training, physical fitness assessments, and potential deployment across the U.S. and overseas. Candidates must meet specific medical, physical, and legal requirements, and be willing to accept assignments anywhere. Minimum Requirements U.S. Citizenship Effective May 7, 2025, possess a valid REAL ID driver's license Age between 21 and 37 at application and conditional offer, with exceptions for prior federal service or veterans' preference Pass a drug test and disclose prior drug use Carry and maintain firearm proficiency; no convictions of misdemeanor domestic violence Complete extensive training at FLETC, NCFI, and RTC Sign a mobility agreement to accept assignments nationwide and abroad Register with the Selective Service System if applicable Meet visual and hearing standards Additional Requirements Use your full legal name on your application Possess at least a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or relevant experience for GL-07; advanced degrees or experience for higher grades Pass Phase I assessments (NCIC, SAEE, physical test, interview) and Phase II assessments (background, polygraph, medical, security) Preferred Candidate Profile Experience or background in CBRN, emergency medical services, or military rescue units is highly desirable. Benefits and Incentives Potential recruitment incentive of $60,000, payable over four years with service commitments. Additional Information Applicants must complete a physical abilities test and meet medical standards. Visible tattoos are restricted.
