Welcome to Where History Meets Modern Day.Job SpecificMaintains current knowledge of all menu offerings, to include ingredients, preparation method and time required, presentation and appearanceSets up assigned station with all required supplies, "Mis en Place"Greets guests in a polite professional manner according to Loews standardsSuggestively sells menu items to guests so as to enhance the dining experienceRecords all aspects of guests order accurately and enters guest orders into POS terminalCoordinates placement of order so that the timing of preparation and delivery flows consistently throughout entire mealMonitors preparation of individual courses to ensure proper flowInspects presentation of all food items to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the guests as orderedServes all food and beverage items professionally, according to Loews StandardsMonitors guests at all times, anticipates needs, responds to requests, ensures satisfactionPrepares and presents accurate, complete guest checkCollects monies due and or applies charges to guest account using POS terminalCompletes end of shift revenue report and cash depositPerforms all side work duties as assigned by manager/supervisorOther duties as assignedGeneralPromotes and applies teamwork skills at all timesNotifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team membersExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with required safety regulations and proceduresAttends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaComplies with hotel standards, policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentOne + years experience as a Food Server in high volume, upscale Hotel or Restaurant environmentThorough knowledge of food terminology, food service techniques and sanitation standardsExceptional guest service skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to stand, walk, stoop, bend and lift trays weighing up to 35 pounds repetitively during entire shiftAbility to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
